Academics are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Technology teacher or a skilled food professional with teaching experience who is passionate about inspiring students and helping them develop practical and theoretical skills.
The Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, supporting students to develop their knowledge, practical skills and understanding of food, nutrition and preparation.
You will:
Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons
Deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions
Support students to develop their culinary and food preparation skills
Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Assess and monitor student progress
Provide constructive feedback and guidance
Ensure appropriate health and safety standards are maintained during practical sessions
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience in Food Technology, Catering or a related subject
Previous teaching or training experience is desirable
Strong practical knowledge of food preparation, nutrition and food safety
A passion for education and developing students' skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to engage and motivate learners
A commitment to safeguarding and student welfareWhether you are an experienced FE teacher, a qualified Food Technology teacher, or an experienced catering/food professional looking to move into education, we would be keen to hear from you.
