How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Community Chemotherapy Nurse
    Dundee | Up to £44,500 + Company Car or £4,887.50 Car Allowance | Monday-Friday | No Nights or Weekends

    Experienced in chemotherapy or SACT and looking for a better work-life balance?

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse or SACT Nurse to move away from the pressures of a busy hospital environment and deliver specialist cancer treatment directly in patients’ own homes.

    I’m recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading specialist healthcare providers for a Community Chemotherapy Nurse covering Dundee and the surrounding areas.

    You’ll manage your own community caseload, spend meaningful one-to-one time with your patients and deliver high-quality oncology, haematology and systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) within the home.

    As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you’ll work autonomously across Dundee and the surrounding areas, delivering specialist cancer treatments safely within patients’ homes.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Delivering chemotherapy and systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) in the community
    Administering oncology and haematology treatments safely and in line with clinical protocols
    Completing pre-treatment clinical assessments
    Reviewing observations and identifying treatment-related concerns
    Cannulation, venepuncture and vascular access management
    Monitoring patients during treatment and responding to adverse reactions
    Maintaining accurate electronic clinical records
    Educating and supporting patients and their families throughout treatment
    Liaising with hospitals, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
    Managing your own community caseload and daily scheduleWhat We’re Looking For

    To be considered, you’ll need:

    Active NMC registration as an Adult Nurse / RGN
    Recent experience administering chemotherapy with SACT passport 
    Competency in the administration of cytotoxic drugs
    Strong cannulation and venepuncture skills
    Experience managing vascular access devices
    Confident clinical assessment and decision-making skills
    Excellent communication and patient-care skills
    Ability to work independently within a community setting
