How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As a Senior Administrator in Oldham, you'll play a key role in keeping the not-for-profit organisation running smoothly by managing administrative tasks and supporting the team effectively.     Description

    Monitor the performance of contracts to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
    Review administrative processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    Identify and escalate data quality issues promptly, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks and maintain statutory compliance.
    Take responsibility for delivering a comprehensive administrative support service to the team.
    Undertake general office duties as required, including filing, typing, processing post, arranging meetings, and maintaining records.
    Develop, maintain, and monitor systems, registers, records, and databases to ensure the accurate input, storage, retrieval, and reporting of data.
    Promote effective communication across offices, departments, external customers, and stakeholders.
    Produce accurate correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting minutes to a high professional standard.
    Support the achievement of individual, team, and organisational objectives through effective administration and collaboration.Profile

    Essential Criteria:

    Proven experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets.
    Strong customer service experience with a customer-focused approach.
    Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workload, working methodically and using own initiative.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    Technically proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    Demonstrates behaviours and values aligned with the Guinness Behaviours framework.Desirable Criteria:

    Knowledge of the Social Housing and Care sectors.
    Experience of producing reports and managing data effectively.
    Experience of training or supporting colleagues in the use of systems and processes.
    Ability to interpret and communicate management information clearly to a range of stakeholders

    Job Offer

    Permanent equivalent salary of £29,897.
    6-week Temporary contract offering flexibility.
