How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CAD Engineer (Nuclear)

    Rate: Up to £40.00 per hour (Outside IR35)
    Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
    Contract: Initial 12-month contract, view to extend
    Start: ASAP
    Positions: 1

    The Opportunity

    We are recruiting for a CAD Engineer to support the delivery of major UK nuclear projects.

    Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for producing and developing 3D design models for electrical installation and cable routing packages.

    This is a great opportunity for an experienced mid-level CAD Engineer with strong 3D modelling capability and ideally experience working within nuclear or other highly regulated project environments.

    Responsibilities

    Produce and develop 3D CAD models for electrical installation and cable routing packages.
    Develop and coordinate cable routing and cable tray layouts within a multidisciplinary environment.
    Produce accurate models in line with project, quality and engineering requirements.
    Identify and resolve design clashes and develop practical engineering solutions.
    Support design reviews and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
    Work closely with engineers and other disciplines to deliver project requirements.

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a CAD Engineer / CAD Designer within nuclear, engineering, construction or another highly regulated environment.
    Strong experience using 3D CAD / modelling software.
    AVEVA E3D or PDMS experience preferred.
    Experience with cable tray, cable and/or process pipework routing.
    Experience producing 3D models for electrical, mechanical, electrical or HVAC (MEH) projects.
    Strong BIM / 3D modelling experience will be considered where direct E3D experience is limited.
    HPC or similar major project experience would be highly advantageous.
    Experience with other comparable 3D design/modelling packages will be considered.
