How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

    Location: Banbury

    Hours per week: 40

    Rate per hour: £36-40 p/h depending on experience (Inside IR35/Umbrella Company)

    Contract Length: Up to April 2027 (Possibility of extending)

    An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

    What you will do

    * Defining and leading the setup of medium and high-volume production environments and the development of manufacturing processes to ensure production is conducted safely, on time and on budget whilst ensuring best practice is adhered to.

    * Defining equipment specifications required to achieve the production requirements.

    * Defining and leading the scaling up of low volume products & processes to support mass production volumes.

    * Supplier investigation and appointment to establish a robust and capable supply base for automation equipment.

    * Defining and leading the successful implementation and delivery of specific Advanced Production Quality Plans for new product introduction.

    * Provide manufacturing engineering support to the Production, Procurement and Programmes Teams.

    * Map processes and where necessary utilise techniques such as PFMEA's and control plans.

    * Produce and maintain SOPs, build records, process routings and production documentation.

    * Devise and own specific elements of the quality improvement road map supporting the Quality Management System and our compliance to ISO9001:2015, and any project specific quality requirements.

    * Training and mentoring of junior Engineers

    About you

    * Experience gained in a mid / high volume manufacturing / production assembly environment.

    * Knowledge of mid / high volume automation tools and techniques.

    * Experience in new product introduction and APQP tools.

    * Experience in manufacturing facility design.

    * Ideally knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter, MPP, NX and NoMuda Visual Factory software would be preferred.

    * Working knowledge of CDM regulations is desirable.

    * Experience in the use of business improvement tools and techniques (5s, Lean, Kaizen etc.) and the use and construction of PFMEA’s and Control Plans.

    * A good understanding of TS16949, AS9100, ISO14001 and ISO9001 to comply with company processes is essential.

    * The ability to work on own initiative, and able to influence others by demonstrating a positive “can do” attitude
