Gold Education Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Chelmsford, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis for a maternity cover contract, starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic year.

What You'll Be Doing
Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Teaching the Geography curriculum in line with school expectations.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high standards.

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

Supporting students in developing their geographical knowledge, skills and understanding.

Preparing students for examinations where required.

Contributing to departmental planning and wider school activities.

Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
What We're Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

A degree in Geography or a related subject.
*
Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
*
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.
*
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*
The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
*
A positive, professional and adaptable approach.
*
Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant experience are welcome to apply, subject to school requirements.
