How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Import Merchandiser | Consumer Products & Gifting | Leeds | Up to £40,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and commercially focused Import Merchandiser to join a growing product-led business.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining merchandising, purchasing and international supply chain, giving you the opportunity to take ownership across the full product journey - from supplier and order management through to international shipping, stock and final delivery.

It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data and detail but also wants plenty of variety, responsibility and interaction with suppliers and wider teams.

    Key Responsibilities

Monitor stock levels, sales and product performance, identifying opportunities for replenishment, transfers and range changes.

Analyse stock cover and trading information to support purchasing and inventory decisions.

Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring orders are accurately maintained from placement through to delivery.

Track supplier costs, margins and landed costs, highlighting any changes that may impact profitability.

Work closely with overseas suppliers to monitor production progress, lead times and order quantities.

Maintain accurate product, pricing, costing, barcode and stock data across internal systems.

Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues relating to quality, production, pricing or delivery.

Coordinate product testing, quality checks and relevant supplier documentation where required.

Arrange and monitor international shipments, working closely with freight partners and warehouses.

Obtain and review freight quotations, supporting decisions around the most efficient shipping options.

Coordinate shipments and deliveries to ensure stock arrives within agreed timescales.

    About You

Previous experience within merchandising, imports or similar within a wholesale or retail environment.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Confidence working with Excel and data.

    Strong numerical and analytical ability.

Experience managing purchase orders and supplier information.

An understanding of international shipping and import processes.

    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive approach to problem solving, with the confidence to chase, challenge and find solutions.
