The Role
The Financial Reporting Team at Blackburn College play an important role in the financial management of College, providing a true Business Partnering service to the Budget-holders across College. As Assistant Accountant you will support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business partners in that important role. You will develop your skills under the supervision of the team.
What we are looking for
We require applicants who have a Finance Qualification to at least Level 3, preferably Level 4 (will consider QBE). You should also have an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), including English and Maths. Experience of working with Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel and Word is also essential as is recent and extensive experience of working in a similar role. You should have a good understanding and experience of double entry and experience of completing Reconciliations.
