How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join an established MEP contractor delivering major engineering and infrastructure works as part of the HS2 programme in West London.

    The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering support across a technically complex infrastructure project, working closely with project management, design teams, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure electrical packages are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

    About the Role

    The Electrical Engineer will support the technical delivery and coordination of electrical installation packages, ensuring works are delivered in line with approved design, programme, quality and health & safety requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Support the delivery of electrical packages across the HS2 project.
    Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
    Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, civil and other project disciplines.
    Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, designers and site management.
    Monitor installation progress, quality and technical compliance.
    Assist with technical queries, RFIs and design coordination.
    Identify and resolve technical issues throughout project delivery.
    Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
    Ensure electrical installations meet project specifications and relevant standards.
    Maintain strong health & safety and quality standards.
    Attend project meetings and provide technical input where required.Requirements

    Experience working as an Electrical Engineer within construction, MEP or infrastructure.
    Strong understanding of electrical building services and installation.
    Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical information.
    Previous experience on major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
    Strong technical, communication and coordination skills.
    Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project environment.
    Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
    Appropriate CSCS/site-based certification.What Our Client Offers
