How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Network Engineer (Automation)

    We are looking for a hands-on Network Automation Engineer to join a network transformation and automation programme on an initial 6-month contract.

    This role is focused on the execution and delivery of network automation, working within established architectural designs, engineering standards and governance. You will work closely with Senior Engineers and the Lead TDA to implement repeatable, controlled and scalable automation across the network environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Build, execute and support network automation workflows in line with approved designs and engineering standards.

    Support the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network configuration and change.

    Apply and maintain approved automation templates, Ansible playbooks and configuration patterns.

    Troubleshoot issues across both traditional networking and network automation workflows.

    Work closely with Senior Engineers and the Lead TDA to ensure delivery remains aligned with agreed designs, standards and governance.

    Identify issues, technical improvements and opportunities to enhance automation tooling and delivery processes.

    What We're Looking For

    You will be a practical engineer who is comfortable working across both networking and automation.

    Network engineering and network configuration.

    Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform.

    Network automation and orchestration.

    Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices.

    CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

    Cisco network environments, ideally including Cisco NDFC.

    NetBox for network source-of-truth/IPAM/DCIM use cases.

    ServiceNow or similar ITSM/change-management platforms.

    Automation templates, playbooks and reusable configuration patterns.

    Pre- and post-change validation and troubleshooting.

    Working within established technical architecture, engineering standards and governance
