Alice Rose Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Leader to join the engineering team within a landmark, prestigious commercial building in Bishopsgate.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, high-spec environment that is maintained to an exceptionally high technical standard. Although operating within a corporate commercial setting, the building requires engineering standards, procedures and resilience more commonly associated with critical environments.
The successful candidate will join an established shift engineering team and will be responsible for maintaining building services plant, supporting technical operations and ensuring the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services plant
*
Undertake HV and LV switching duties in accordance with site procedures
*
Support the safe operation of electrical distribution systems
*
Respond to faults, alarms and engineering incidents
*
Carry out technical fault finding and diagnostics
*
Complete all required permits, logbooks and engineering documentation
*
Ensure PPM activities are completed within agreed timeframes
*
Support contractors and specialist service providers on site
*
Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance
*
Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the shift team
*
Communicate professionally with clients, occupiers and other stakeholders
*
Assist with incident response and escalation where required
Requirements
*
Minimum Level 3 electrical, mechanical or building services qualification
*
Current or recent HV and LV authorisation / appointment
*
Proven HV/LV switching experience
*
Strong commercial building maintenance experience
*
Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
*
Experience working within high-spec or critical environments would be advantageous
*
Strong understanding of engineering procedures and compliance
*
Good written documentation and reporting skills
*
Confident, professional and client-facing
*
Able to work a continental shift pattern covering days and nights
