How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS1 Teacher - Wirral

    Location: Wirral
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract Type: Temporary - Full Time
    Pay: £140-£240 per day, dependent on experience

    Spencer Clarke Group are working with primary schools across the Wirral who are looking for passionate and reliable KS1 Teachers to join their teams.

    We are looking to speak with both experienced Primary Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are confident delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and creating a positive classroom environment where children can thrive.

    Opportunities are available across Year 1 and Year 2, with schools throughout Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, Prenton and the wider Wirral area.

    The successful teacher will have a strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum, including early reading, phonics, English and Maths, and be able to adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and additional learning needs.

    The Role:

    Teach within Year 1 or Year 2.

    Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.

    Deliver high-quality phonics, early reading, English and Maths teaching.

    Assess, monitor and track pupil progress.

    Differentiate learning to meet individual pupil needs.

    Provide additional support and challenge where appropriate.

    Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

    Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.

    Work effectively alongside Teaching Assistants and SEND support staff.

    Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

    Take part in PPA, staff meetings, parents' evenings and wider school life.

    What We're Looking For:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

    Experienced Primary Teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply.

    Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

    Confidence delivering phonics and early reading.

    Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

    Ability to plan engaging and differentiated lessons.

    Understanding of SEND and adaptive teaching within a mainstream classroom.

    Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

    Reliability, professionalism and a genuine passion for primary education.
