How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Fly Tipping Rapid Response Operative

    Overview

    Connect2Swindon are seeking a dedicated and proactive Fly Tipping Rapid Response Operative to join our diverse and inclusive team.

    In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming community spaces by swiftly responding to incidents of fly tipping.

    The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license, experience as a Street works Operative, and a commitment to promoting environmental responsibility.

    Responsibilities

    Rapidly respond to reports of fly tipping across assigned areas, ensuring timely and efficient clearance.
    Drive a company vehicle safely and responsibly to attend various sites.
    Operate as a Street works Operative, adhering to all relevant safety standards and protocols.
    Liaise with, community members, and team members to coordinate response efforts.
    Document incidents, actions taken, and outcomes accurately using company systems.
    Promote awareness of waste disposal regulations and encourage community compliance.
    Maintain all equipment and vehicles in a clean and functional state.
    Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines to protect yourself, colleagues, and the public.Qualifications

    Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
    Physical fitness and the ability to manage manual handling tasks safely.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills, with respect for diverse communities.
    Commitment to supporting inclusion, diversity, and equality in the workplace.
