NC Machinist (Lathe) | Permanent Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a world class engineering & manufacturing business producing high-integrity engineered components. This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale machining equipment in a quality-driven environment where safety, precision, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
You'll be involved in machining a variety of demanding materials, setting and operating CNC equipment, carrying out inspections, and ensuring components meet customer specifications. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a team-focused environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Setting and operating a range of CNC machining equipment
Producing components to drawing and specification requirements
Performing in-process inspections and quality checks
Handling materials safely using lifting equipment
Supporting machine upkeep through routine operator maintenance
Contributing to process improvements and manufacturing efficiencies
Working closely with colleagues to maintain production targets and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a CNC machining environment
Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes
Experience working with challenging materials and tight tolerances
Ability to read engineering drawings and follow procedures
A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Engineering qualifications or apprenticeship training would be advantageous
