How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Site Manager to join a growing construction business, working on a £17m development comprising three industrial units in High Wycombe.

    The business specialises in delivering industrial, commercial and leisure developments, with projects ranging in value up to £50m. They are continuing to grow and are looking for someone who wants to develop their career alongside the business.

    Initially, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, working closely with the Project Manager and gaining a strong understanding of the company's systems, processes and way of working.

    The long-term opportunity is where this role really stands out. The intention is for the successful candidate to learn the ropes, develop within the business and progress into a Project Manager position, where you will ultimately take ownership of and lead your own scheme.

    This is a permanent opportunity for someone who is ambitious, wants to progress and is looking for a company that will invest in their development and reward performance.

    The business is also introducing a three-day weekend from October this year, including site-based teams, offering a level of work-life balance that is extremely unusual within the construction industry.

    The opportunity:

    * Senior Site Manager on a £17m industrial development

    * Three industrial units in High Wycombe

    * Permanent position

    * Opportunity to learn the company's systems and way of working

    * Clear pathway to progress into a Project Manager role

    * Future opportunity to lead and deliver your own schemes

    * Growing specialist construction business

    * Projects ranging up to £50m

    * Three-day weekend being introduced from October, including site teams

    * Genuine focus on progression and rewarding performance

    This would suit an experienced Senior Site Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career and wants to work for a business where there is a genuine opportunity to progress into Project Management and beyond
