How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A chance to take the lead on external marketing, shape a growing brand presence and make a genuine commercial impact.

    12-Month Contract | Ipswich | £45,000-£48,000

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Marketing Manager to join a multi-service organisation on an exciting 12-month contract.

This is far more than a traditional marketing role. You'll have the opportunity to shape and deliver the external marketing strategy, build brand awareness in priority markets, create campaigns that generate genuine commercial opportunities and work closely with senior stakeholders and Business Development teams.

If you enjoy having ownership, turning ideas into campaigns and being able to see the tangible impact of your work, this could be a great opportunity.

This role is 3 days a week in Ipswich Town Centre, 2 days from home. Benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, flexible working, discounts scheme, life assurance and more!

    What will you be doing?

You'll take ownership of a broad external marketing remit, combining strategy, creativity, campaigns, digital marketing, PR and commercial lead generation.

    Your role will include:

Developing and delivering quarterly and annual external marketing plans aligned to business growth objectives.

Creating integrated campaigns across digital, social, email, direct marketing, events, PR and paid media.

Developing targeted outbound and prospecting campaigns to reach new clients, sectors and geographical markets.

Building brand presence across priority regions through localised campaigns, case studies, partnerships and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with Business Development and Client Services to create marketing activity that supports commercial growth and generates quality leads.

Leading external content including thought leadership, newsletters, brochures, social media and campaign assets.

Managing PR and media activity, including press releases and media relationships.

Planning and promoting the organisation's presence at trade shows, conferences and industry events.

Using CRM, marketing automation, analytics and AI tools to improve targeting, personalisation, efficiency and campaign performance.

Monitoring campaign performance and using data and insight to continually improve results.

Managing agencies, suppliers and marketing budgets where required.

    Why this role?

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply manage marketing activity.

You'll have genuine scope to influence how the organisation is positioned externally, explore new markets and test new ideas. There's a strong commercial focus, meaning your work will directly support brand growth, business development and lead generation.

You'll work with senior stakeholders and have the freedom to bring fresh thinking to the role, while having the support of wider teams across the organisation. You will also have a few direct reports, who are great workers and have strong potential for future development.

    What are we looking for?

We're looking for an experienced marketing professional who is:

Commercially minded and understands how marketing can drive growth and new business.

Experienced in B2B marketing, ideally within a multi-service or complex organisation.

Confident developing and delivering campaigns from initial idea through to execution and reporting.

Comfortable with outbound, prospecting or lead-generation marketing.

A strong copywriter and communicator who can create compelling content for different audiences.

Experienced with CRM, email marketing, marketing automation, CMS, social media and analytics platforms.

Organised enough to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.

Experience within B2B, professional services, facilities management, property, recruitment, public sector supply chain or another multi-service environment would be particularly relevant.

A CIM qualification or relevant degree/professional qualification would be advantageous, but strong commercial marketing experience is what matters most.

    Interested?

If you're an experienced marketer looking for a role where you can take ownership, influence strategy and see the commercial impact of your work, we'd love to hear from you
