Warehouse Operative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our clients dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing stock, and supporting the overall operations within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities 

Safely load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques and forklift equipment
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company procedures
Manage stock levels through effective stocking and inventory control practices
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specified standards before dispatch
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and label preparation#
Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Support stock replenishment activities to ensure availability of materials for production or distribution
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency and meet daily targets
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and stock management
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software
Valid forklift license or experience operating forklift machinery safely
Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures
Mechanical knowledge beneficial for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Excellent attention to detail for quality control and accurate order fulfillment
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a safe manner
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively within a team environment
