How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Associate Architectural Technologist, South Hampshire, £50k - £55k DOE

If you would like to know more about this opportunity, please contact Sophie Randle at RGB Recruitment ASAP!

An exciting opportunity has for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join one of the UK’s leading AJ100 architectural practices at Senior Associate level, based from either Bristol or South Hampshire offices.

With multiple studios throughout the UK, this is a large, award winning practice offering the scale, resources and project exposure of a national business whilst retaining strong regional teams. Working across an incredibly varied portfolio to include commercial, residential, education, healthcare, defence, blue light, industrial & logistics, leisure, mixed-use, masterplanning and more.

Following continued growth across their southern studios and with projects increasing in both scale and complexity, they are now looking to strengthen their technical leadership with a Senior Associate Architectural Technologist who can work collaboratively across the Bristol and South Hampshire teams.

This is a genuinely senior opportunity, combining strong hands-on technical knowledge with project oversight, team management and technical leadership. You’ll take responsibility for the successful technical delivery of projects, manage and support smaller teams and become a senior point of knowledge within the business, while collaborating with colleagues and expertise across the wider national practice.

    The role will include:

Leading the technical delivery of projects through the later RIBA stages
Taking ownership of complex technical packages and construction information
Managing and supporting small project teams
Providing technical leadership, guidance and quality oversight
Coordinating effectively with Architects, consultants, contractors and clients
Ensuring projects meet UK Building Regulations and relevant technical standards
Working collaboratively across the Bristol and South Hampshire teams
Supporting and mentoring less experienced members of the team
Building strong relationships internally and externally
Working closely with senior leadership as the studios continue to grow
Sharing knowledge and expertise across the wider national practice
    Requirements:

An experienced Architectural Technologist with significant UK experience
Someone already operating at Associate level, or a strong Senior Technologist ready to make the next step
Excellent technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations
Strong experience across the technical and construction stages of projects
Experience taking responsibility for the delivery of larger and more complex schemes
Confidence managing projects and smaller teams
Strong consultant and contractor coordination experience
    Excellent communication and client-facing skills
A collaborative approach with the confidence to operate as a senior technical figure
    Revit proficiency is essential
The practice places a strong emphasis on career development, collaboration and knowledge sharing, with the opportunity to work alongside specialists across its national network and gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and sectors.

For someone looking for a long term senior position, there is also a clear progression route beyond Senior Associate through to Associate Director and Director, offering the opportunity to continue developing both technically and as a leader within the business
