How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

ABOUT MIDNIGHT™ CREATIVE GROUP AND THE BEGINNING

Work as original as the people who create it.

Midnight™ Creative Group is a creative company for cultural advancement with 100+ people across London, Leeds, Amsterdam and New York. We specialise in progressive, culturally-driven solutions for the world’s most ambitious brands. Our group consists of four companies:

    1. The Beginning – Our anti-consultancy consultancy offering, attacks business challenges in their most embryonic form
    2. The Midnight Club – Our 360 studio delivers ambitious work for the most progressive clients across Europe and North America
    3. ZERO – Our full-service production, post-house and talent rep studio closes the loop from concept to consumer.
    4. Off–Piste – Our creative technology studio and frontier innovation takes brands off the map and into new terrain.

The Beginning takes the creative energy and alternative spirit of The Midnight Club and injects it at a higher altitude — helping clients solve broader business and brand challenges. This includes brand positioning, innovation, new product and service development, communications ecosystems and evolving operating models.

Together we offer one promise – Advancement.

This role is within The Beginning, with opportunities to cross over into different group wide projects.

    THE ROLE

The Beginning’s product relies heavily on how our ideas and recommendations are presented and visualised. This is an essential part of how we communicate our thinking and deliver an excellent service to clients.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to take ownership of the visual communications across all TB’s output - bringing strong design thinking, editorial sensibility and a contemporary visual approach to the way our work is presented.

You’ll also have the chance to shape and lead branded output for The Beginning, from physical products and editorial projects to cultural stunts and client-facing brand moments.

This is a role for a designer who can move confidently between typography, layout, imagery and brand, and who is excited by the opportunity to help shape how The Beginning looks, feels and behaves.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    • Shaping and building the visual direction of The Beginning
    • Lead the visual design and presentation of The Beginning’s documents, working closely with the wider team to turn strategic thinking into compelling visual narratives.
    • Own the design and execution of editorial layouts, presentations and other visual communications.
    • Work closely with our Strategists to shape and develop the work, bringing a strong point of view and design thinking to the process.
    • Develop contemporary and progressive approaches to typography, imagery, composition and visual storytelling.
    • Help evolve and maintain The Beginning’s visual identity across different touchpoints. This includes a monthly substack that demands bold, provocative and visually compelling stories.
    • Work with senior leadership on wider brand output for The Beginning.
    • Develop branded products and physical outputs, which could include T-shirts, magazines and branded items for clients.

    ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone ambitious, curious and entrepreneurial and ready to step up into greater ownership and leadership.

    You will likely:

    • Have strong experience across editorial design, layouts and visual communications.
    • Have a portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of typography, composition, imagery and visual storytelling.
    • Have experience designing decks where information is structured and presented is as important as the content itself.
    • Have experience creating or developing branded products and physical outputs.
    • Have a contemporary and progressive visual taste, with a confident approach to the use of imagery and type.
    • Be collaborative and comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders.
    • Be curious about culture, design and the world around you, and bring fresh references and thinking into your work.

    COMPANY BENEFITS

    • 25 days paid holiday (per annum) plus Bank holidays
    • Xmas office closure in addition to your Holiday entitlement
    • Company healthcare for yourself with Health Shield
    • Use our Well-Hub app, access to 2,500+ gyms, studios, therapy and meditation
    • Assistance programme with 24/7 confidential access as part of your Health Shield plan
    • Flexible working scheme - Mondays plus two other days of your choice in the office
    • Mentoring programme parallel to your Line Management scheme
    • Work Pension scheme
    • Full access to a range of training courses
