We are seeking experienced and reliable Care Assistants to join our dedicated support team in Truro and the surrounding local areas 🌊. The region is highly accessible, offering excellent transport links including extensive local bus routes and Truro main train station close by, making commuting straightforward 🚌.

This is a temporary position offering flexible shifts to fit around your lifestyle, with the opportunity to review for a longer-term placement ⏳. You will support individuals within our care environment, ensuring they receive compassionate, high-quality daily care in a warm, welcoming setting 🏡.

Working Hours & Weekend Availability ⏰

We offer flexible shifts to suit your schedule across both weekdays and weekends, with opportunities available between the working hours of:

* ☀️ Day Shifts: 08:00 – 20:00

* 🌙 Night Shifts: 20:00 – 08:00

Key Responsibilities 📋

* 🤝 Personal Care: Assist with daily personal care needs, including washing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

* 🥗 Meal Support: Help with dining and hydration, assisting those who require extra support during mealtimes.

* 📝 Care Plans: Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records.

* 💬 Engagement: Build positive relationships, encouraging participation in daily activities and social interaction.

Requirements 🫂

* 💼 Proven Experience: Minimum of 6 months of professional care experience within the UK care or healthcare sector.

* ❤️ Genuine Passion: A real passion for care and a deeply rooted desire to help others improve their quality of life.

* 🧠 Compassionate Approach: A patient, empathetic nature with a strong commitment to person-centred care.

* 💪 Reliability: Dependable work ethic with a hands-on and flexible approach to working hours.

* 📚 Valid Training: Up-to-date mandatory care training certificates, or a willingness to undergo training immediately.

* 🛡️ Background Check: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one immediately).
