HGV Class 2 Skip Driver
Location: Edmonton, N18
Pay: £21.00 per hour
Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 6:00am – 4:00pm or 7:00am – 5:00pm
* Overtime available during the week
* Every other Saturday available
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management operation based at our Edmonton depot.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery, collection, and transportation of skips while providing excellent customer service and ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced skip driver looking for ongoing, full-time work with regular overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and collect skips from commercial and domestic customer sites.
* Transport waste safely and dispose of it in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
* Complete all required paperwork accurately.
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
* Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
* Follow all Road Traffic Regulations, Drivers' Hours legislation, and company Health & Safety procedures.
* Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
Essential Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Previous skip driving experience is essential.
* Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours legislation and road transport regulations.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
