The Opportunity
You'll join a successful and supportive commercial insurance team, taking ownership of an existing book of business while identifying and developing new opportunities across the local market.
This role offers the perfect balance of relationship management, strategic account development, and business generation within a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop an inherited portfolio of commercial insurance clients.

Build strong and long-lasting client relationships through regular reviews, meetings, and proactive advice.
*
Work closely with internal broking and account handling teams to deliver exceptional service and tailored insurance solutions.
*
Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market engagement.
*
Negotiate and place commercial insurance programmes with insurer partners to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
*
Maintain a high level of client retention while supporting portfolio growth objectives.
About You
We're open to candidates from a variety of insurance backgrounds, but you'll ideally have:

Experience within commercial insurance, either from a broker or insurer environment.
*
Exposure to sectors such as construction, property owners, landlords, manufacturing, or motor trade.
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*
A confident and professional approach when advising clients.
*
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*
A commercially focused mindset and enthusiasm for business development.
*
Progress towards CII qualifications would be advantageous but is not essential.
