📍 Location: Grays (Office-Based)
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (1 Hour Lunch Break)

Are you an experienced Transport Coordinator looking for your next challenge?

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join a busy logistics operation, managing daily UK transport movements and ensuring customers receive a first-class service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or distribution who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily UK collections and deliveries.
Arrange transport with approved hauliers, carriers, and subcontractors.
Manage a variety of freight movements including full loads, part loads, palletised freight, and groupage shipments.
Monitor vehicle movements and maintain regular communication with drivers and transport providers.
Provide customers with accurate shipment updates and estimated delivery times.
Resolve transport issues including delays, failed collections, delivery discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
Book timed collections and delivery appointments.
Obtain competitive transport rates and prepare customer quotations.
Source cost-effective transport solutions while maintaining service quality.
Process and monitor Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
Investigate and resolve delivery queries and invoice discrepancies.
Prepare completed transport files for billing and ensure all charges are correctly recorded.
Update internal systems and maintain accurate transport records.
Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

✅ Previous experience within transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or distribution

✅ Strong knowledge of UK road transport operations

✅ Excellent communication and customer service skills

✅ The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple shipments simultaneously

✅ High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

✅ Experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office

✅ A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
