How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    QC Analyst
    Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
    Contract: 6 months
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week
    Working Pattern: 5 days on-site
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour

    The Opportunity
    PE Global is currently recruiting for a QC Analyst to join a leading global pharmaceutical and life sciences organisation based in Swindon.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and labelling commercial finished product batches. This position plays an important role in maintaining testing activities required to support commercial batch release.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Inspect and label commercial finished product batches.
    • Perform testing activities to support commercial batch release.
    • Drive 5S methodology within the QC environment.
    • Manage QC metrics and compliance activities, including deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
    • Write and review SOPs and technical reports.
    • Prepare and review documentation including COAs, cleaning certificates and validation protocols.
    • Ensure adherence to data integrity and regulatory requirements across laboratory systems.
    • Support investigations and troubleshooting activities.
    • Maintain awareness of developments and innovations in particle size technology.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across QC and other departments.
    • Support the training of junior team members where required.

    Requirements:
    • A degree or higher qualification in a scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
    • Hands-on experience working within a cGxP laboratory environment.
    • Working knowledge of HPLC and Empower.
    • Experience with method development, troubleshooting and validation.
    • Familiarity with particle size technologies would be advantageous.
    • Experience in investigations and SOP writing.
    • Strong understanding of documentation and regulatory compliance.
    • Good knowledge of data integrity requirements across laboratory systems.
    • The ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Confidence in training and supporting junior team members.
