Street Lighting Supervisor

Suffolk | Permanent | Monday–Friday | 45 hours per week

We're working with an established infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Street Lighting Supervisor for a permanent position covering projects across Suffolk.

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll be responsible for keeping site operations running smoothly — making sure your teams have the right resources, works are delivered safely and projects stay on programme.

You'll be joining a business involved in major UK infrastructure projects, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced teams and develop your career within the sector.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of your sites, including:

* Supervising street lighting and associated infrastructure works

* Leading and supporting site operatives and subcontractors

* Organising labour, plant and materials

* Planning upcoming works and keeping programmes on track

* Making sure work is carried out safely and to the required standard

* Completing site paperwork, reports and briefings

* Working closely with the Contract Manager and wider project team

* Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders

* Monitoring productivity, quality and progress

* Ensuring all operatives and subcontractors are suitably competent and trained

* Identifying and dealing with site issues before they affect delivery

What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with supervisors who have a genuine background in street lighting or electrical/civils infrastructure.

You'll need:

* Previous supervisory experience within street lighting or a similar infrastructure environment

* Experience working on NEC contracts

* SSSTS or SMSTS

* CSCS

* A strong understanding of site health & safety and CDM requirements

* Experience managing site teams and subcontractors

* Good organisational and communication skills

* The ability to manage competing priorities and keep works moving

* A full UK driving licence
