How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking to speak with experienced 1-1 Teaching Assistants who are interested in opportunities across Bath from September 2026.

    We are looking for confident and compassionate education professionals who have experience providing 1-1 support to students with additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD and Autism.

    The Opportunity

    As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a student, helping them access learning and make progress within the school environment.

    The successful candidate will have confidence supporting students with additional needs, including SEMH, ADHD and Autism, and will have a calm, patient and consistent approach.

    You will work closely with teachers and other school staff to understand the student's individual needs, support their learning and encourage positive engagement in school.

    Your Responsibilities

    Providing dedicated 1-1 support to a student throughout the school day.
    Supporting students with additional needs including SEMH, ADHD and Autism.
    Helping students access and engage with their learning.
    Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
    Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
    Using a calm, consistent and encouraging approach to behaviour management.
    Working alongside teachers and the wider support team.
    Supporting students with classroom activities and routines.
    Encouraging independence and confidence.
    Following individual support plans and school policies.
    Maintaining safeguarding and professional standards.
