Responsibilities
* Safely operate telescopic forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and yard areas
* Conduct routine inspections of the forklift before each shift to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
* Assist with stacking, organizing, and storing inventory in designated areas with precision and care
* Collaborate with team members to coordinate material movement for production or shipping needs
* Maintain accurate records of materials moved and equipment usage in accordance with company procedures
* Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting and basic maintenance on the forklift as needed
* Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Skills
* Proven experience operating telescopic forklifts or telehandlers in a commercial setting
* Strong mechanical knowledge to identify issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments
* Valid commercial driving license with relevant certification for operating heavy machinery
* Familiarity with other equipment such as excavators is a plus, demonstrating versatility in machinery handling
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure safe and accurate material handling
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
* Good communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination
