How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is part way through their professional accountancy qualification and is looking to build on their existing experience within a supportive and commercially focused finance environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance team, supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
    • Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
    • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
    • Support the purchase ledger and sales ledger processes where required.
    • Assist with cashbook management and bank reconciliations.
    • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    • Provide support with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
    • Assist with audit preparation and provide information as required.
    • Work closely with other departments to resolve finance-related queries.
    • Contribute to improving processes and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
    • Undertake any other duties that are reasonably required within the finance function.

    About You
We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and keen to continue developing their accountancy career. You will ideally have some previous experience within a finance or accounting role and be actively working towards a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
You will have good attention to detail, be comfortable working with numbers and have the ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines. Good communication skills are also important, as you will be working with colleagues across the wider business.
    Key Skills and Experience
    • Part qualified or actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA
    • Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
    • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
    • Experience with reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
    • Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good organisational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
    • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.

    What’s on Offer
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive finance team where you can continue to develop your technical accounting knowledge and gain valuable commercial experience.
The role offers a varied workload, exposure to different areas of finance and the opportunity to progress your career as you continue towards full qualification
