How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Company Description
    Fracino is a UK-based manufacturer known for producing high-quality commercial coffee machines and related equipment. The company operates modern manufacturing facilities and invests in advanced engineering technologies to support precision production. Team members work in a collaborative environment where craftsmanship, reliability, and continuous improvement are valued. Fracino focuses on delivering durable, high-performance products to hospitality and catering customers in the UK and internationally. The organization offers opportunities to develop technical skills and contribute to a growing, innovation-driven business.
    Role Purpose
    To take day-to-day responsibility for Fracino’s three CNC sliding head lathes, producing precision components for our espresso machine range.
    This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can independently programme, set and run CNC sliding head machines, while also supporting general machine shop and development work.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Programme, set and operate three CNC sliding head lathes.
    * Take jobs from engineering drawing through setting, prove-out and production.
    * Carry out machine changeovers, tooling setup and programme adjustments.
    * Inspect components and maintain required tolerances throughout production.
    * Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling and programming issues.
    * Monitor production across all three machines to maintain quality and minimise downtime and scrap.
    * Remove and process swarf, including spinning for oil recovery and recycling.
    * Clean and finish machined components and carry out rework where required.
    * Produce prototype and development components for new designs.
    * Operate manual lathes and milling machines when required.
    * Maintain a clean, safe and organised machine shop.
    Essential Skills & Experience
    * Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes.
    * Ability to create and modify CNC programmes from engineering drawings.
    * Ability to independently set up and prove out jobs ready for production.
    * Good knowledge of CNC machining, tooling and component inspection.
    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to specified tolerances.
    * Experience using manual lathes and milling machines.
    * Strong practical fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
    Desirable Experience
    * Fanuc controls.
    * Star CNC sliding head machines, or similar such as Citizen.
    * Prototype or development machining experience.
    Key Role Requirement
    This is not an operator-only position.
    The successful candidate must be capable of programming, setting and running CNC sliding head lathes independently and taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the three-machine CNC area.
    The role also includes normal machine shop duties such as component cleaning, rework, manual machining and swarf processing
