Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, are currently recruiting on behalf of a school in Stone, Staffordshire, who are looking for a School Library Technician to join their team from November.
This is approx. an 8-week fixed-term position, working Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-4:30pm, and Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm, covering an absence and including a short handover period.
The Role:
Managing the issuing and returning of books and maintaining accurate library records
Supporting pupils and staff using the library, including supervising small groups
Operating reprographic equipment, including printing, photocopying, laminating and binding
Supporting general administration and IT-based tasks
Supervising pupils and maintaining appropriate behaviour in the library
Providing emergency first aid support to pupils with the wider team of first aidersRequirements:
Organised, reliable and able to work independently
Confident working with children and adults
Experience in an administrative, supervisory, library or school-based role
Comfortable using IT and reprographic equipment
Methodical with strong attention to detail
Able to promote a positive and well-managed environment for pupilsWhy Academics?
