How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Refrigeration Engineer

    Location: Leeds
    Salary: £38,400 to £72,000 DOE
    Hours: 39 hours per week
    Job Type: Permanent, Field Based

Are you an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking for a new opportunity with a company that invests heavily in technical development and progression?

We're currently recruiting for engineers across the Leeds area to work on the service and maintenance of refrigeration systems at customer sites throughout the region.

The work is predominantly within industrial refrigeration, so this would suit engineers already working with industrial plant. However, if you have solid commercial refrigeration experience and a strong understanding of refrigeration fundamentals, your experience could also be a good fit.

You'll work alongside highly experienced engineers and gain exposure to large refrigeration systems across major customer sites and a variety of industrial environments.

    What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out service and maintenance work on refrigeration systems
Fault-finding and diagnosing issues with refrigeration plant and components
Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard
Working directly with customers and providing clear technical information and advice
Identifying ways to improve plant reliability, safety and efficiency
Completing relevant service and maintenance records
Working as part of a wider engineering team
Developing your knowledge of refrigeration systems, components and emerging technologies

    About You

    Qualified/experienced Refrigeration Engineer
    Field-based refrigeration experience
    Strong understanding of refrigeration principles
    Industrial refrigeration experience is advantageous
Commercial refrigeration engineers with the right technical background are encouraged to apply
    Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Comfortable working independently on customer sites
    Full UK driving licence
Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance

    Progression & Development

An extensive benefits package as well as a structured engineering training and development programme is in place, giving engineers a clear pathway to build their skills and progress through different engineering levels.

You'll receive ongoing technical training and support from senior engineering management, alongside access to a dedicated operations training team. Progression through the engineering levels comes with increased responsibility and associated salary increases.

Whether you're already an experienced industrial refrigeration engineer or a commercial engineer looking to take the next step into industrial refrigeration, this could be a strong long-term opportunity.
