How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Engineer job opportunity for a leading materials manufacturer based in the West Yorkshire area.

    Company: Rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturing organisation, which is bucking the trend in the construction materials market and is continuing to grow rapidly.

    Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:15pm, Friday 7am to 12:30pm (some flexibility in hours is available)

    Location: East Yorkshire area

    Duration: Permanent

    Salary: up to £42k (depending on your skills and experience)

    You will be involved in:

    * Maintaining and repairing plant machinery and facility equipment.

    * Ensuring efficient operation of machinery and looking at planned preventative maintenance (PPM - scheduling).

    * Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

    * Ensuring electrical compliance along with manufacturing, HSE and environmental compliance (ISO9001/45001/14001).

    * Where required, work with external contractors on upgrades and modifications.

    What do you need to be considered?

    You will need:

    * Strong background in Mechanical and Electrical engineering from a manufacturing environment.

    * Qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

    * Knowledge of PPM and OEE and continuous improvement.

    * Experience of working in ISO9001/14001/45001 compliant environments.

    * Excellent communication and problem solving skills
