We're partnering with a market-leading biotech & biomedical research company.
Here, you'll play a key role in development, working across FPGA and embedded firmware development, you'll design and implement high-performance digital hardware, develop low-level software, and contribute throughout the full product development lifecycle.
There is a clear progression route to senior engineering roles here, so you'll be joining a company that cares about your development, and will give you real project ownership from day one.
This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging products that directly support cutting-edge scientific research in neuroscience, physiology and biomedical.
Job Responsibilities
* Design, develop and verify FPGA functionality using VHDL for high-performance data acquisition and signal processing systems.
* Develop embedded software in C to control hardware, implement low-level functionality and interface with FPGA-based systems.
* Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate, test and optimise new features across complex electronic products.
Technical Requirements
* Strong commercial experience using VHDL.
* Strong programming skills in C for embedded systems or low-level hardware control.
* Experience designing and debugging digital electronic systems, including hardware/software integration.
* Familiarity with FPGA development environments such as AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.
* Experience with communication interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB or Ethernet.
