Production Technician - Southampton

TeamJobs are recruiting for a Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing business in Southampton.

This isn't a role for someone who simply operates machinery. We're looking for someone who understands how production should run - and has the confidence and experience to make it better.

Production Technician:
£40,000-£45,000
Monday-Friday
8:00am-4:30pm
37.5 hours
Permanent

Production Technician - The role:

Set, adjust and change over production machinery

Fault-find and resolve issues to minimise downtime

Identify causes of rejects and recurring production problems

Improve efficiency across filling, labelling and packaging machinery

Drive continuous improvement and introduce better ways of working

Develop SOPs and improve production processes

Support and develop less experienced Machine Setters and Operators

Production Technician - We're looking for:

Strong machine setting or production engineering experience

Hands-on mechanical and fault-finding ability

Experience with filling, packaging or labelling machinery would be ideal

A strong continuous improvement mindset

Organised, disciplined and confident challenging existing processes

Someone who takes ownership and solves problems rather than working around them
