How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Arabic Assessor / Bilingual Assessor

    Location: Remote, United Kingdom

    Rate: £26 – £30 per hour

    Job Type: Freelance / Part-time

    The Opportunity

Are you a qualified assessor who is fluent in both Arabic and English?

We’re looking for an experienced Bilingual Assessor to support the assessment of a cohort of 18 learners completing the Cert EP.

You’ll assess learner submissions in Arabic, provide feedback in Arabic and support a high-quality, consistent assessment process.

Importantly, previous employability experience is not essential. Support with the employability content and knowledge will be available, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced assessor looking to apply their assessment expertise within a new area.

    The Role

    *

Assess submissions for an initial cohort of 18 learners completing the Cert EP.

    *

Assess learner work and submissions in Arabic.

    *

Provide clear and appropriate feedback to learners in Arabic.

    *

Apply sound assessment judgement to ensure submissions are assessed accurately and consistently.

    *

Support the wider assessment process and learner assessment requirements.

    *

Work alongside a trainee bilingual assessor currently supporting learners in the Gulf.

    *

Access support with employability content and knowledge where required.

    *

Potential opportunity for approximately 1 day per month of IQA work following the initial cohort.

    *

Potential for additional assessment work in English on a separate project.

    The Ideal Candidate

    *

Qualified assessor with demonstrable assessment experience.

    *

Fluent in Arabic and English, with the ability to speak, read and write both languages.

    *

Previous experience within education, training or business environments.

    *

Strong understanding of assessment practice and providing learner feedback.

    *

Able to assess learner submissions accurately, fairly and consistently.

    *

Professional, organised and confident working independently.

    *

Previous employability-specific experience is not essential.

    *

Experience of bilingual or Arabic-language assessment would be advantageous.

    Why Apply?

    *

    £26 – £30 per hour.

    *

    Flexible freelance / part-time opportunity.

    *

Work with an international learner cohort.

    *

    Employability experience is not essential.

    *

Potential for ongoing assessment and IQA work.

    *

Opportunity to work across both Arabic and English assessment projects.
