How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Digital DevOps & Release Manager

Location: Tadley, East Leake or Elland (hybrid working)
    Business: Saint-Gobain Digital & IT

At Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, we're looking for a DevOps & Release Manager to join our Digital & IT function, helping us build, manage and continuously improve the technology and processes that enable our digital platforms across the UK.

This is a varied role combining technical DevOps leadership, people management and release management. You'll lead a team of four DevOps Engineers, including colleagues based remotely overseas, while also taking technical responsibility for our DevOps design, CI/CD structure and release processes.

You'll play an important role in helping our development teams release changes safely, efficiently and consistently across Saint-Gobain's digital estate. If you enjoy working across technology, people and processes and want a role where you can make a real difference to how software gets delivered, this could be a great opportunity for you.

    What we're looking for:

Degree in Software Engineering (nice to have)
Previous experience working as a DevOps Manager, DevOps Lead or Lead Engineer, with experience managing and developing technical teams.
Strong experience with GitHub and CI/CD, with a good understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing.
A good technical understanding of scripting and configuration, ideally including Bash, Python and YAML, together with experience of cloud technologies.
Experience working within Agile environments, supporting developers and teams to improve the way they build, test and release software.
A degree-level qualification in Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. What you will be doing:

Lead and manage a team of four DevOps Engineers, including an offshore team, providing direction, support and oversight of technical decisions and activities.
Take technical ownership for the design and ongoing development of our DevOps and CI/CD environment, ensuring it is scalable, secure and supports efficient software delivery.
Coordinate releases across multiple teams and technologies, supporting the Agile Release Train and ensuring changes are appropriately approved before being released into production.
Work closely with developers, test managers, IT Operations and project teams, providing support on GitHub, deployment processes and DevOps-related queries.
Help Saint-Gobain continuously improve its release processes, governance, automation and deployment standards across platforms including MuleSoft and Salesforce.About us
