MOT Tester

Clear Automotive Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established Vehicle Repairer in Castleford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional dealership offering a fantastic work-life balance with Monday to Friday with limited weekend work.

Working within a modern, fully equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections, servicing and mechanical repairs on a range of prestige vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and regulations.
Inspecting vehicles, diagnosing faults and identifying repairs required.
Completing servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs where necessary.
Recording MOT test results accurately using the DVSA testing system.
Producing clear and accurate inspection reports.
Advising on any defects or additional repair work required.
Fitting parts and carrying out additional workshop duties as required.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Working both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.To be successful in this role, you'll have:

A valid DVSA MOT Tester Licence (essential).
Previous experience as an MOT Tester within a dealership, independent garage or automotive workshop.
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience carrying out servicing and repairs.
Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Excellent understanding of DVSA testing procedures and current legislation.
A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
