How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Multi-Medix is looking for a talented and driven Junior Physicist to help deliver Medical Ultrasound QA services to NHS and Private Hospitals.

The successful applicant will be trained by the Multi-Medix Physics team in Medical Ultrasound Physics and Quality Assurance.

    About Us

Multi-Medix is a fast-growing company that is revolutionising Medical Ultrasound testing by developing Ultrasound Phantoms and AI enabled software to diagnose equipment faults and maintain patient safety. Multi-Medix is the number 1 independent Ultrasound QA provider in the UK and we work closely with the NHS and the National Physical Laboratory to deliver innovative products. We're looking for a curious, hands-on Physicist to join our team and grow with us as we scale.

    About the Role

We're hiring an entry-level Physicist to join the Physics team, helping to deliver a UK-wide Ultrasound QA service. You would work closely with the Operations Lead to help manage the service including investigating equipment faults, analysing results and perform the testing directly. You would perform on-site quality assurance and physics testing at client facilities, working with medical imaging equipment and our phantom products. You'll be based at our office, with regular travel to client sites.

    Responsibilities

    · Travel to client sites (25–50% of time) to perform ultrasound physics testing and quality assurance measurements

    · Operate and calibrate testing equipment and phantoms in clinical/lab environments

    · Document, analyse, and report test results accurately and on schedule

    · Troubleshoot equipment or testing issues on-site and escalate as needed

    · Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and safety protocols

    · Support other physics testing and lab duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    · A strong Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Medical Physics, or related field.

    · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    · Comfortable with hands-on equipment work and independent travel.

    · Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically (some overnight trips required).

    · Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work.

    · No prior work experience required.

    Progression

As a rapidly growing team, Multi-Medix offers genuine scope for progression as you develop. Our Physics team regularly present research at conferences and contribute to world-leading Ultrasound QA innovations.

    What We Offer

    · Progression as you grow with the company (based on strong performance).

    · Travel expenses covered.

    · Hands-on training and mentorship in Medical Ultrasound Physics testing

    · Early opportunity to shape your specialism as part of a small, growing team

    Location

Loughborough — with regular travel to client sites.

    Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
