Austin Dean Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to work across a variety of care settings throughout the Cambridgeshire region.
Assignments are available in settings including:
* Residential care homes
* Nursing homes
* Day care centres
Your Responsibilities
Depending on the placement, your duties may include:
* Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
* Assisting with mobility, meals and hydration
* Providing emotional support and companionship
* Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
* Supporting activities within care homes and day centres
* Accurately completing care records and daily notes
* Following care plans, safeguarding procedures and infection-control guidance
* Reporting concerns or changes in an individual’s condition
* Working professionally alongside permanent staff and other healthcare professionals
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
* Previous UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker
* The right to work in the UK
* A satisfactory Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably registered with the DBS Update Service
* Up-to-date mandatory care training
* A good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* A caring, reliable and professional approach
* Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends or bank holidays where required
* Satisfactory employment references covering your recent work history
A driving licence and access to your own vehicle may be beneficial for some assignments but are not essential for every role.
