How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Civils Agent

    Location: Heathrow Airport

    Heathrow Airport

    Ferrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 12 years delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety and environmental standards. We have focused on design and build projects with a mix of contractual arrangements. This has enabled us to refine our management procedures in response to Heathrow’s Employers Requirements and Ferrovial Construction own internal management systems.

    Since joining Heathrow’s framework, Ferrovial Construction has delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the whole airport. For example, we have delivered new taxiways and rehabilitated existing taxiways and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets, such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets with expired design life’s and plan for a future runway resurfacing project. We are constantly designing and planning our works around critical assets and engaging with different key stakeholders in order to deliver Heathrow value for money.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Site Management

    * Ensure the contract achieves strong commercial performance

    * Take ownership of the safe and successful delivery of the project

    * Deliver works safely and without environmental incidents

    * Deliver works to the required quality standards, free from defects

    * Develop and implement project and management plans in line with Company procedures

    * Prepare procurement schedules and work with the procurement team to ensure sites have the resources required to deliver the works

    * Act as a point of contact for the client, maintaining strong working relationships

    * Maintain effective cost control while maximising project value

    * Maintain accurate and detailed site diaries and records

    * Identify and promote value engineering and efficiency opportunities to improve project outcomes and reduce costs

    * Produce accurate monthly reports for both the Client and internal stakeholders

    * Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures

    Key skills and experience

    * Proven experience in a site management role within the construction industry, ideally in civil engineering

    * Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading project teams in a construction environment.

    * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.

    * Applied commercial and contractual knowledge, with experience operating in a cost-conscious environment

    * Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering, supported by relevant project experience

    * Computer literacy

    * Valid CSCS card

    * Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent (desirable)

    Please note that this job description does not represent a comprehensive list of activities and employees may be requested to undertake other reasonable duties
