How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Trainer

    £45,000 - £50,000 + Relocation Package + Site Wide Bonus + External Training + Company Benefits

Whitstable (Commutable from: Canterbury, Herne Bay, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Margate, Ramsgate, Ashford, Maidstone)

Are you a CNC Trainer looking to step off the tools into a specialist training position, with External Training and a Site Wide Bonus? Do you have a CNC machining background on multi-axis lathes and the patience to develop others in a hands-on environment?

This is a secure, permanent days-based role where you'll be brought in specifically to build capability on-site and train someone up - with strong backing from the business and a clear need for an extra headcount in the function.

You'll be joining a well-established engineering manufacturer that recognises how hard this skillset is to hire and is investing internally, including a graded structure, support for career-change into training, and external training to help you succeed in the role.

On a single-site basis in Whitstable, you'll deliver and implement a CNC training plan around production requirements, supporting operators across fixed head and sliding head (multi-access) CNC lathes.

This role suits a technically driven engineer who wants high-status progression into specialist training, taking ownership of developing others rather than chasing management for its own sake.

    The Role:

Deliver and implement CNC training plans to train someone up internally
Site-based role in Whitstable supporting CNC machining on multi-access lathes (fixed/sliding head)
    Days position: 8:00-4:30
    The Person:

CNC machining background (lathe experience; fixed head / sliding head / multi-axis exposure)
Background in training / coaching / developing others (or a clear career change into training)
Patient, adaptable, and comfortable balancing training delivery with production requirements
    Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
