How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Requirements Engineer

    Contract: Until June 2027
    Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire
    Hybrid - 1-2 days a week on site
    Rate: Up to £55ph, Outside IR35
    SC minimum

    Are you a Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I or Systems Engineer with requirements capture experience?
    Have you worked on complex engineering projects in a regulated or safety-critical environment?
    Do you have experience with systems engineering methods or requirements management tools?

    What's in it for you?

    Major nuclear engineering programmes
    Ongoing technical development

    What will you be doing?
    Capture, analyse and develop technical requirements
    Work with Project Managers and Engineering Task Managers
    Translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements
    Support requirements verification and validation
    Assist with system architecture, interfaces and lifecycle planning
    Prepare technical reports and project documentation

    Where will you be doing it?
    You'll be working on major nuclear engineering programmes, supporting project teams with requirements capture and systems engineering. We're open to Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I and Systems Engineers with relevant experience, not just career Requirements Engineers.

    What will you need?
    Engineering degree or equivalent experience
    Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I or Systems Engineering background
    Requirements capture, analysis or management experience
    Understanding of systems engineering and lifecycle processes
    Experience in a regulated or safety-critical environment
    DOORS experience desirable
    Nuclear experience beneficial, not essential
    SC Clearance minimum - DV Eligible
