How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Construction Administrator / Coordinator / Social Values – Oldham

    We are recruiting for a Construction Coordinator to join a busy and growing construction company based in Oldham.

    This is a varied role working closely with the Bid Team, customers and wider business, with a particular focus on Social Value, community engagement and customer relationships.

    Key duties will include:

    * Supporting the Bid Team with Social Value content for new projects and tenders

    * Helping develop initiatives around local employment, apprenticeships and work experience

    * Building relationships with local schools, colleges, community groups and charities

    * Supporting community engagement activities connected with construction projects

    * Monitoring and promoting the positive social impact of developments

    * Attending meetings with clients and supporting customer events

    * Liaising with existing customers and maintaining strong relationships

    * Helping coordinate Social Value commitments throughout live projects

    * Managing and updating the company’s social media channels

    * Promoting community initiatives, project successes and Social Value achievements

    * Working with site teams and internal departments to gather information for bids, reports and marketing

    The ideal candidate will:

    * Have some previous experience working within the construction sector

    * Be confident dealing with clients, contractors and members of the community

    * Have strong communication and organisational skills

    * Be comfortable attending meetings and events

    * Have an interest in Social Value, community engagement and the wider impact of construction projects

    * Be confident using social media for business purposes

    This would suit someone from a construction coordination, bid support, customer liaison, community engagement, marketing or Social Value background who is looking for a varied role within a busy construction business.
