The Opportunity
We are working with an established Design & Build mechanical contractor who are looking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their team.
Based from the company's Barbican office, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of major mechanical projects, working closely with the client, consultants, commercial team, design team and site delivery teams.
This is a senior position suited to an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who is capable of taking ownership of complex projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
The Role
As Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of mechanical projects, ensuring they are completed safely, commercially and to programme.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing major mechanical Design & Build projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Taking full ownership of project delivery, programme, budget and performance.
*
Leading and managing Project Managers, Engineers and site teams.
*
Working closely with the commercial team to manage costs, variations, procurement and project margins.
*
Reviewing and managing project programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
*
Coordinating mechanical design, procurement and installation activities.
*
Managing client, consultant, subcontractor and supplier relationships.
*
Identifying and managing technical, commercial and programme risks.
*
Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements.
*
Driving quality, health & safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Attending client and project meetings and providing regular project updates.
*
Supporting pre-construction, estimating and design teams where required.
*
Ensuring a smooth commissioning, completion and handover process.
About You
We are looking for a strong Senior Mechanical Project Manager with a proven background within a Mechanical MEP Contractor / Design & Build environment.
Ideally, you will have:

Significant experience delivering mechanical building services projects.
*
Strong Design & Build experience.
*
Experience managing large and complex projects.
*
Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
*
Experience managing project teams and subcontractors.
*
Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC and public health.
*
Strong client and stakeholder-management skills.
*
Experience taking projects from pre-construction through to completion.
*
A proven track record of delivering projects successfully.
*
The confidence and seniority to take ownership of major projects.
