Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Warrington that is looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their Designated Provision.
This Secondary Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to work closely with a small, experienced team supporting students with mild SEN. You will provide targeted support on a one to one and small group basis, helping students access learning and develop their confidence within the school environment.
The Designated Provision has a very strong and supportive team, making this an excellent opportunity for a Secondary Teaching Assistant who wants to develop their experience of working with students with additional needs.
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with mild SEN on a one to one and small group basis
Work within the school's Designated Provision
Help students access the wider secondary curriculum
Provide additional support with classroom learning and activities
Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement
Work closely with the Designated Provision team and teaching staff
Build positive and consistent relationships with studentsThe role would suit a Secondary Teaching Assistant with previous experience supporting young people, although candidates with relevant experience in primary education, care, youth work or other support-based roles may also be considered.
The successful candidate will be patient, approachable and confident working with students who may require additional encouragement or adaptations to their learning.
