Demand Planner
📍 Walsall | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days WFH)
Are you an experienced Demand Planner looking for the opportunity to build something from the ground up rather than simply maintain an existing process?
We're supporting a well-established UK manufacturing and distribution business in the search for a Demand Planner to join their Supply Chain function at their Distribution Centre in Walsall.
This is a newly created role with genuine scope to make an impact. The business is investing in its planning capability and is looking for someone who can establish robust demand planning processes, improve forecasting accuracy and help create a single, trusted view of demand across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Develop and embed a structured demand planning process from scratch
✅ Analyse demand trends, customer forecasts, seasonality and inventory data
✅ Improve forecast accuracy and planning governance
✅ Utilise and maximise Dynamics 365 forecasting capability
✅ Create meaningful reporting and insights using Power BI and Excel
✅ Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Sales and Operations teams
✅ Support S&OP activities and drive data-led decision making
✅ Play a key role in shaping the future direction of demand planning within the business
What We're Looking For
✔ 5+ years' dedicated Demand Planning experience
✔ Proven experience improving or implementing demand planning processes
✔ Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
✔ Strong forecasting, analytics and data interpretation capability
✔ Experience within a manufacturing, distribution or complex supply chain environment
✔ ERP experience, ideally Dynamics 365 or similar
✔ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
