How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Room Assistant looking to develop their career further within a fast-paced environment.


    You will be responsible for providing hands-on support to the design team in all aspects of the design room function, contributing to the smooth running of daily operations and assisting in the development of collections from concept to production.


    Main Responsibilities

    • Manage processing of garments, ensuring the best presentation for the customer.
    • Update trackers and systems with photos and sent out details.
    • Work closely with the technical department to ensure samples are spec’d on time.
    • Prepare patterns & fabrics for UK samples and update the system and trackers with all details.
    • Monitor the in-house sampling process, ensuring styles are added to trackers, cut and made to schedule.
    • Prepare fabric packs & boards.
    • Help with preparation for customer meetings and be on hand during meetings to support.
    • Support on amendments to samples.
    • Filing and general admin duties across the design team.
    • Collect post daily and handout for Design Floor.
    • Ensure workspace/design room is tidy.
    • Support designer on research, creating boards, shop reports and style sketches.


    Your Experience

    • Good knowledge of garment construction.
    • Good eye for commercial products and trends.
    • A strong interest and awareness of the industry, what’s happening on the high street, catwalks and social media.
    • Understands foundations of sustainability in this industry or has a willingness to learn.
    • Strong work ethic, willing to go the extra mile.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    • Passionate, enthusiastic, shows initiative.
    • Proficient IT user including use of photoshop and illustrator
