How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Workforce Development Coordinator


    Salary: £28,000

    Contract: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)

    Location: London, with flexible hybrid working


    WorldSkills UK is looking for an organised and proactive Workforce Development Coordinator to join our Workforce Development Team.


    This is a varied coordination role supporting the successful delivery of our workforce development programmes. You will help ensure programme activity is well organised, information and systems are accurate and up to date, and participants and stakeholders receive a professional and responsive service.


    Working across a range of programmes and activities, you will:


    • coordinate meetings, events, workshops and programme activity;
    • maintain programme documentation, schedules, records and systems;
    • support communications and engagement with participants and internal and external stakeholders;
    • collect, validate and collate data and contribute to programme reporting;
    • coordinate participant registration, onboarding and communications; and
    • help identify and implement improvements to systems, processes and ways of working.


    WorldSkills UK offers flexible hybrid working, with the postholder expected to attend our office in Farringdon 1-2 days per week.

    Benefits include 25 days' annual leave, increasing with service to a maximum of 30 days, plus bank holidays; employer pension contributions of up to 6%; a healthcare cash plan; and group life insurance.
