How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Company Description L'oscar London is an exclusive luxury hotel housed in a magnificently restored former Baptist Church, showcasing Baroque architecture and theatrical design by renowned French architect Jacques Garcia. The hotel offers 39 beautifully appointed bedrooms, including 18 suites, creating an elegant blend of French opulence within a historic British setting. Guests enjoy the decadent L'oscar Restaurant, the atmospheric Baptist Bar, and distinctive function spaces suitable for intimate gatherings and larger events. The hotel’s immersive, imaginative interiors provide a luxurious escape in the heart of the city, appealing to guests seeking a refined and memorable experience.

Role Description The Chef De Partie is responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in line with L'oscar London’s standards. Day-to-day tasks include organizing mise en place, following recipes and plating guidelines, coordinating with other kitchen sections, and maintaining food safety and hygiene. The role involves training and supporting junior team members, contributing to menu development, and assisting with stock control and waste reduction. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London, requiring close collaboration with the Head Chef and wider culinary team to deliver a consistently exceptional guest dining experience.

    Qualifications

    • Strong culinary skills in a luxury or high-end restaurant or hotel environment, with proven experience as a Chef De Partie or experienced Demi Chef De Partie.
    • Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation, with a focus on quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
    • Understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene standards, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
    • Ability to manage a kitchen section, organize mise en place, and work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
    • Collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to support, train, and motivate junior team members.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
    • Professional culinary qualification or apprenticeship is preferred; experience in luxury hotel dining or fine dining is a strong advantage.
    • Passion for hospitality, creativity in developing dishes, and a desire to contribute to a distinctive and theatrical guest experience.
