How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Architect / Architectural Technologist Residential

    Location: Cheshire / North West
    Salary: Circa £40,000 £45,000+ dependent on experience

    The Opportunity

    Are you an experienced Project Architect or Architectural Technologist looking for an opportunity where you can take real ownership of projects from concept through to completion?

    We are working with an established and highly respected architectural practice specialising in high-quality residential projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Architectural Technologist or Project Architect to their friendly and collaborative team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 4+ years' industry experience who is confident working across the technical and delivery stages of residential projects and is keen to take responsibility for their own workload and projects.

    You'll be joining a business where quality, practical design and client satisfaction are at the heart of what they do, with the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of highly rewarding projects and to develop your career further.

    What You'll Be Doing

    As an experienced member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to become involved in projects from early design stages through to construction, including:

    Developing residential projects from initial concepts through planning and technical design.
    Producing high-quality architectural and technical drawings using Revit.
    Preparing and submitting UK planning applications.
    Developing detailed proposals in accordance with current Building Regulations.
    Preparing detailed construction information and project documentation.
    Writing specifications and producing information for tender.
    Managing the tender process, liaising with contractors and other project stakeholders.
    Taking responsibility for running your own projects and coordinating the design process.
    Liaising directly with clients, contractors and consultants.
    Undertaking regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve design or technical issues.
    Working collaboratively with the wider design team to deliver projects to a high standard.
    Travelling to project sites as required.
    Contract Administration experience would be advantageous but isn't essential the key requirement is someone with strong project-running, technical and residential experience.

    About You

    We're interested in speaking with experienced Architectural Technologists and Project Architects who are looking for their next challenge.

    You'll ideally have:

    A minimum of 4 years' experience within the architectural / construction industry.
    Strong experience working on residential projects.
    Excellent working knowledge of Revit.
    Good understanding of UK planning procedures and Building Regulations.
    Experience producing detailed technical and construction information.
    Experience with specification writing and tender documentation.
    Previous experience of running projects and managing your own workload.
    Good communication skills and the confidence to deal with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
    A practical, technically minded approach to design and problem solving.
    A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel to project sites will be required.
